Tatami Haven
Every room here sits inside a red-brick building raised in 1924. The walls are double brick, three to four times thicker than a modern build, so rooms stay quiet and hold their warmth. The original leadlight windows still throw coloured light across the brick, exactly as they did a hundred years ago.
We stripped the building back to those bones and rebuilt from there, keeping what was worth keeping. Stay here and you stay in the fabric of old St Kilda, not a replica of it.
